Wall Panels

  1. Custom Acoustical products Wall Panels should be installed in accordance with the manufactuer”s recommedations.
  2.  

  3. All necessary hard ware and accessories for a complete job installation are to be furnished by the contractor.
  4.  

  5. Installation of wall Panels shall not begin work until all wet work such as plastering, concrete, ect., is completely dry. The panels are designed for installation under standard occupancy conditions from 60 degrees F. to 85 degrees F. and at not more than 80% R.H. in an enclosed building.
  6.  

  7. The contractor shall be responsible for the examination of all surfaces and conditions prior to the accoustical wall panel installation.
  8.   

  1. The Wall Panels shall be pre finished by Custom Acoustical Products and shall be type (Echo Stopper) (Impact Resistant) (Reflective) (Tackable).
  2.  

  3. Core Material shall be (specify thickness) in thickness and in the exact height, width, and shape detailed on the drawings.
  4.  

  5. Edge detail shall be (Square) (Radius) (Bevel) ( Half Bevel) (Custom)

  7. The face, all edges, and return on the back of a minimum of 1″ shall be finished with  (Select material, pattern, color)

  9. The Wall Panels shall be mounted utilizing (Mounting Adhesive) (Impaling Clip) (Mechanical Clip) (Hook and Loop Fasteners) (Concealed Splines).

  11. Wall Panels Shall Have a Noise Reduction Coefficient (N.R.C.) od ____ using Astm C423-81a, Sound Absorption and Sound Coefficent by Reverberation Room Method.

  • PART 3 EXECUTION
  • 3.1 EXAMINATION A. Inspect areas to receive ceiling and wall treatment. Notify Architect of conditions that would be adversely affect the installation or subsequent utilization of the ceiling and wall treatment. Do not proceed with installation until unsatisfactory conditions are corrected.
  • 3.2 INSTALLATION A. Install ceiling and wall treatment at locations indicated on the drawings and accordance with manufacturer”s instructions. B. Install ceiling and wall treatment plumb, level, square, in alignment with adjacent work, and secure.
